In Thailand sind junge m\u00e4nnliche M\u00f6nche (<em>Nen<\/em> oder <strong>Samanera<\/strong> genannt) ein ziemlich h\u00e4ufiger Anblick. Sehr oft haben sie nur vor\u00fcbergehend Gel\u00fcbde abgelegt. Sie k\u00f6nnen dies w\u00e4hrend der <strong>Phansa-Zeit<\/strong> (Regenzeit), w\u00e4hrend der Sommerferien von M\u00e4rz bis Mai oder nur f\u00fcr ein paar Tage tun, um Verdienste zu erbringen, wenn ein Elternteil oder Gro\u00dfelternteil verstorben ist. Dies ist gewisserma\u00dfen eine R\u00fcckzahlung einer Schuld gegen\u00fcber Familienmitgliedern, die als Kleinkind unter ihrer Obhut standen. Es zeigt Respekt. Keng wurde zum ersten Mal M\u00f6nch, als seine Gro\u00dfmutter starb, als er 8 Jahre alt war. Er war nur wenige Tage M\u00f6nch, aber als Kind studierte er auch jedes Wochenende im Tempel. Hier wurde sein erstaunliches k\u00fcnstlerisches Talent entdeckt, als er half, die Tempel mit den kunstvollen buddhistischen Mustern zu bemalen. Hier lehrte ihn sein Ajarn auch die alte Kunst der Bambust\u00e4towierung. Wenn ein Kind M\u00f6nch wird, ist dies ein sehr stolzer Moment f\u00fcr die Familie, und normalerweise wird das Kind nach ein paar Tagen, in denen es die Kunst der Medikation erlernt hat, tats\u00e4chlich ruhiger und ruhiger und ist oft besser in der Schule. Es ist immer das erste von vielen Malen und es wird eine gro\u00dfe Zeremonie geben und die ganze Familie wird sich zu diesem bedeutsamen Anlass versammeln.
